Internal uses of dandelion seeds:

  • Boiling the leaves, flowers, and roots together is used in the amount of three tablespoons per liter of water, one cup in the morning and the evening, to treat cases of anemia, general weakness, and loss of appetite.
  • Soak approximately three tablespoons of crushed dandelion roots or rhizomes with a liter of water and leave for 5 minutes, then boil for 15 minutes and drink a cup of it before every meal, in order to treat the liver as well as the gallbladder, as it prevents the formation of gallstones and breaks them down if they exist. This recipe is also good for weight loss.
  • To treat pneumonia and chronic bronchitis, as well as infections of the respiratory system with microbes, using the leaves and roots of fresh or dried dandelion plants in the form of a decoction at the rate of a spoonful per cup of boiling water, leaving it for ten minutes and drinking it once in the morning and once in the evening.
  • To treat the spleen, take 20 grams of dry leaves and 10 grams of root powder and put it in about two cups of cold water and leave it to soak for a full hour, then put it on a quiet fire until it boils, then after that, remove it from the heat and leave it aside for 15 minutes. Minutes, then divide it into 3 parts and drink one part after each meal. The treatment continues until the disease disappears and continues after that for a full week.

Side effects:

  • Dandelion preparations are considered safe and there are no risks, but increased stomach acidity may occur in a few people, and in very rare cases a skin rash may appear in some individuals who are sensitive to many substances.
  • Dandelion should not be used by pregnant women or women planning to become pregnant, nor should it be given to children under the age of two.
  • If the patient uses aspirin, a laxative, anti-cold or cough medications, antacids, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, or any other preparations, he should not use dandelion except after consulting a doctor.
  • You should not exceed the specified doses.
  • If you feel a heartburn or diarrhea, which is rare, you should stop the medication and consult your doctor.
  • The preparation should be stored in a cool, dry place away from light, but should not be placed in the refrigerator.
